About Tommy Cooper Photography

Welcome to Tommy Cooper Photography. I have been in Stockdale and Wilson County all my life. I have always been around and doing something with photography. I have always loved taking pictures. Ever since I got my first camera as a Christmas gift when I was 16. Now busting in on my 40's, I still have a great love for photography. And now with the photographic world changing by leaps and bounds. The new technology is just amazing, but I still try to keep it down to earth with the basics of photography. That is where the exposure starts; without the basics a photograph is just a photograph. Over the years I have met some of the most awesome profesional photographers and have had a few chances to sit down learn from them. That one on one with another profesional photographer keeps that photographic spark alive for me. I have been apart of a number of Professional Photography forums. I get my photographs critiqued from photographers around the globe on the forms, this kind of critique helps me grow to be a stronger photographer and to better my eye for composition. Also I want to say I would be honored to capture your most treasured moments in my photographs. I strive to capture the smiles, tears and the heart felt moments of your Weddings, Portraits, Family Get together's and Cherished Life's Events. When I create a photograph that make you go Wow, that is beautiful. I know I did my job. I do this with out intrusion and take my time to let the moment make the photo. I love to capture a lot of the feeling and happiness of your special time.

Dear Friends,

Your special events is one of the biggest days of your life, and you want to be sure it's captured just the right way. When at you wedding you might not remember exactly what the meal tasted like, or how cute your flower girl was as she walked down the isle with the ring bearer, but you will be looking at the pictures for years to come. Picking a wedding photographer can be one of the most important and challenging details on your wedding day. To help you with this, I've prepared a list of things you should look for when committing your wedding day to any photographer.

Availability/Time: It may sound silly, but your choice photographer might not have the availability to be at your wedding. Most wedding photographers need 6 months notice before committing to a wedding, and that's usually the minimum. Ask for availability before asking for anything else. Also ask how long they plan on working that day. Some photographers don't go to the reception hall, or charge a lot if they must be there. Make sure you enquire about this as well.

Packages/Price: Wedding packages are like snowflakes - no two are the same. Each photographer offers something a little different and prices vary from one to the next. While we'd all like to think that price shouldn't matter, it should always be considered based on your budget and the value you get from your wedding package. If a photographer charges a healthy sum for their work, chances are they're worth it. Avoid disappointment by going with a photographer that competes on price alone. Look at the value of what you get for the price you pay. Also, for most photographers, packages are a general outline. Ask if they will tailor a package that will suit your needs.

Your Style: While the photographer might like to set up a room for the perfect portrait, you and your wedding party might not be as extravagant. Tell your photographer what you expect as far as pictures go for your wedding day, and what your expectations of them are. If your photographer is not willing to see things your way, then it's a sign that you're not going to get what you want from them. Also ask your wedding party what they think would be good ideas for wedding photography, and bring the suggestions to your wedding photographer.

Their Style:Each photographer has their own style. Some have real artistic flare, others are more traditional, some more candid, and some shoot portraits. Always look at a photographer's portfolio. Most have web sites these days where their work can easily be viewed, and determine what would be best for your wedding day. Also look for personality when speaking with a photographer. Little things like the pip in their voice and the way they style words can show what kind of people they really are. Remember that you, your wedding party, and your family are going to be working closely with this person throughout the day. Their personality can bring out the best/worst in everyone. Don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions either. This will help determine the photographer's personality.

Reprints/Digital Images: Reprints can sometimes cost as much as the photographer's initial fee. Check reprint pricing so that you won't be surprised later. In many cases only your photographer can make reprints so it's best to check out prices in advance. Some photographers offer digital images on a disc. This can be extremely ha their archives.

You've taken the time to create the perfect wedding. Now take some time to find the right photographer to capture the memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for taking the time to read this special report.

Sincerely,

Tommy Cooper
